Dr Amaechina obtained his MBBS in 2000. He started his post graduate education in 2003 at Lagos University Teaching hospital. He came to South Africa in 2005 and spent some years in Witbank Hospital. He obtained a post graduate diploma in Obstetrics in 2009. In 2010, he completed a Masters degree in Family Medicine (University of Pretoria).
In May 2014, he obtained a Fellowship of College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologist(College of medicine SA) and in the same year he completed a Masters degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban.
